1) Chique Formal Kaftans
Consider chic yet formal caftan dresses if you're tired of wearing pantsuits and traditional skirts to work. If we could, we would only wear these dresses! Who wants to spend the entire day in soiled underwear? When we sit through long meetings, we want to wear an edgy and sophisticated V-neck dress. Even if you work from home, you can dress up for a change in a kaftan dress! Take a break from your pyjamas.
It looks great with a vintage leather waist belt, gold hoops, and mules.
2) T-Length Kaftans
T-length outfits are quickly becoming popular. Celebrities have also taken to wearing T-length kaftans. These dresses, which are hemmed just below the knees, are taking over the Islamic dress fashion world. When you're unsure whether a short or long gown is appropriate for the occasion, go for the middle ground and wear a T-length gown. You can choose between an A-lined dress and an umbrella cut dress.
Wear it with: edgy heels, bare lips, and smokey eyes.
3) Sleeveless Kaftans
Sleeveless kaftan dresses will be a welcome relief in this oppressive Indian climate. For a Sunday brunch with the family or a stroll through the park with your partner, a sleeveless kaftan dress is your best bet. You can even wear a short sleeveless kaftan dress to the beach or by the pool. Cocktails by the pool will necessitate a more extended gown (hopefully served by a 6-pack abed hottie).
Wear it with a high ponytail (like Ariana Grande! ), tan wedges, a chunky necklace, and a brightly coloured handbag.
4) Vintage Kaftans
Traditional and vintage kaftan dresses will take your breath away. You'll be tempted by the alluring prints, luxurious fabric, and patterns. Floor-length gowns with flowy, full sleeves are standard. The neckline is dominated by lace, with either light or heavy embroidery throughout.
Halloween is the ideal occasion to wear vintage kaftans. Why not dress up as a member of the Turkish royal family? You'll undoubtedly be the centre of attention at the party, you stunning lady!
Wear oversized stud earrings, wing eyeliner, and red lipstick to complete the vintage look.
5) Kaftan Robe
A kaftan that also serves as a robe or an overcoat? The Middle Eastern royal family originally designed kaftans to be worn as overcoats. Over the years, they've grown accustomed to wearing dresses. If you want to do it the old-fashioned way, put on a kaftan robe. It fastens with a drawstring and can be cinched at the waist. Lounging in a cosy kaftan robe sounds appealing to our northern ladies who have to deal with harsh winters. Do you live in the South or near a body of water where winter does not exist? You can replace it with a polyester kaftan robe; you are good, fam!
It looks great with a V-neck slip dress, golden hoops, and platform heels.
6) Kimono Sleeves Kaftans
Japan has taken another step forward (sits in a corner and sheds tears). Japan has barred you from entering their country (at least until Corona calms down), but there has been no mention of wearing kaftan dresses with kimono sleeves. The free-hanging sleeves of this dress make it ideal for Instagram influencers. To complete the look, wear an oversized kaftan dress with such sleeves.
Put it on with: your hair in a bun. Apply a generous amount of blush to your cheeks! Red or bright pink lipstick is recommended.
7) Printed Asymmetric Kaftans
How can we discuss fashion without mentioning our favourite prints? Rihanna to Kareena Kapoor all appears to be wearing printed kaftans. Ritu Kumar, Anita Dongre, and Masaba Gupta are also producing lovely printed asymmetric kaftans. This trend is here to stay because it is both comfortable and fashionable. We love the abstract prints, floral prints, and even geometric prints on these dresses.
